One Bangkok: A Tourist Guide to Bangkok's Biggest New Mall
Bangkok's New Mega-Mall Has Arrived
One Bangkok opened in late 2024 and has quickly become one of the most talked-about destinations in the city. Spanning over 190,000 square metres of retail space with more than 750 stores and 200-plus restaurants, it is the largest mixed-use development Bangkok has ever seen. Think of it as a small city within the city โ shopping, dining, art, hotels and a park all rolled into one.
If you are visiting Bangkok in 2026, here is why One Bangkok deserves a spot on your itinerary. For a broader look at what the city has to offer, check our 3-day Bangkok itinerary or the full Bangkok travel guide.
Shopping Highlights
The retail space is divided into two main zones:
- The Storeys: Home to unique flagship stores and designer labels. Club 21 on the first floor carries Alexander Wang, Balmain and Comme Des Garcons Play, among others.
- The Parade: A broader retail hub with fashion, lifestyle and entertainment for all budgets, including well-known international chains.
Whether you are hunting for luxury brands or everyday finds, there is something across both zones. If you prefer open-air bargain hunting, the iconic Chatuchak Weekend Market and the vibrant Jodd Fairs night market are both easy side trips.
Where to Eat
With more than 200 food outlets, One Bangkok is a destination for eating just as much as shopping. The standout is Japan's Mitsukoshi Depachika โ the first branch in Thailand of the famous Japanese department-store food hall, bringing a curated lineup of authentic Japanese eateries. Food Street on the fifth floor of The Parade offers local favourites, from Eak's chicken and rice to Elvis Suki's hotpot.
Budget tip: the food court options are priced similarly to other Bangkok malls, so expect to spend 60 to 150 baht per dish. For more dining inspiration nearby, the Bangkok Lumpini hawker centre is a short walk away, and our guide to Bangkok's best restaurants in 2026 covers the full range from street food to fine dining.
Free Public Art
One Bangkok Park features an impressive public art collection from international and Thai artists. The highlight is S-Curve, a sculpture by British-Indian artist Anish Kapoor. The art installations are free to view and scattered throughout the outdoor spaces โ a welcome change from the usual mall experience. Art lovers can extend the theme with a visit to the Bangkok Art Biennale 2026 or the new DIB Bangkok contemporary art museum.
Live Entertainment
The Forum, a 10,000 square metre event venue inside One Bangkok, hosts large-scale concerts and cultural events. Check their social media for upcoming shows during your visit. How to Get There
Take the MRT Blue Line to Lumpini Station, which has a direct link into the complex. There is also a free shuttle bus running from One Bangkok to Mahatun Plaza near BTS Ploen Chit (Exit 2) every 15 minutes. For a full overview of Bangkok's rail network, our Bangkok public transport guide covers the BTS, MRT and the new Yellow and Pink monorail lines.
How Much Time to Allow
Plan at least three to four hours to explore the shopping and dining. If you want to take in the art, eat a proper meal and browse at a relaxed pace, set aside a full half-day. One Bangkok is also home to the Andaz One Bangkok hotel โ an option worth considering if you want to stay right in the complex.
