Mukdahan welcomes you with the gentle flow of the Mekong and a pace of life that invites you to exhale. This is a town where the river dictates the rhythm — mornings are for exploring the hilltop Naga Temple with its spectacular dragon guardian rising from volcanic-looking rock, afternoons for retreating to your riverside bungalow among shady trees and beanbags, and evenings for cold beers and Isaan food at the waterfront.
