Haad Rin
The world-famous party beach on the southeastern tip of the island, home to the monthly Full Moon Party that attracts up to 30,000 revelers. Sunrise Beach (Haad Rin Nok) is the main party location, while Sunset Beach (Haad Rin Nai) on the other side is much calmer.
Bottle Beach (Haad Khuat)
One of the most beautiful and secluded beaches on the island, accessible only by boat or a challenging jungle hike. The crystal-clear water and soft white sand make it worth the effort. Basic bungalows and a few restaurants are available.
Thong Nai Pan
Twin bays (Yai and Noi) on the northeast coast surrounded by jungle-covered hills. Thong Nai Pan Noi is the more developed of the two with upscale resorts, while Thong Nai Pan Yai offers a more backpacker-friendly scene. Both have excellent swimming.
Haad Salad
A beautiful crescent-shaped beach on the northwest coast with calm, clear water perfect for snorkeling. The coral reef just offshore is home to colorful fish and sea life. A quieter alternative with good restaurants and mid-range accommodation.
Haad Yao (Long Beach)
A long stretch of soft sand on the west coast offering stunning sunsets and a relaxed atmosphere. Popular with families and couples, it has a good selection of beachfront restaurants and resorts without feeling crowded.

Thaan Sadet Waterfall
FreeA sacred waterfall in Thaan Sadet National Park that has been visited by several Thai kings, whose royal initials are carved into the rocks. The series of cascades flows through lush jungle down to a secluded beach. Best visited after rainfall.

2-3 hoursFly to Koh Samui with Bangkok Airways, then take a 20-minute speedboat or 30-minute car ferry from Nathon or Big Buddha Pier to Thong Sala pier on Phangan.
Flight to Surat Thani + Bus + Ferry
4-5 hoursBudget airlines fly to Surat Thani, then take a combined bus-ferry transfer direct to Koh Phangan. Lomprayah and Seatran Discovery operate high-speed catamarans.
