Travel Tips
- Horse carriage rides start from near Ratsadaphisek Bridge. A standard tour costs 200-300 baht for 30-60 minutes. Negotiate the route in advance. Morning tours are best when it is cooler for the horses.
- The temple is 18 km south of the city center in Ko Kha district. Take a songthaew (30 baht) from the market or rent a motorbike. Women cannot enter the small chapel with the camera obscura effect - a male companion must look for you.
- Lampang is only 1.5 hours from Chiang Mai by train or bus, making it an easy day trip. However, spending 2-3 days allows you to properly explore the temples, elephant center, and walking street market (weekends only).
