Andamanda Phuket Hosts a Massive Songkran Pool Party on April 13-15, 2026
Songkran Meets Southeast Asia's Biggest Water Park
Songkran, Thailand's famous water festival, falls on April 13-15 every year β and Andamanda Phuket is turning the holiday into the island's largest pool party for 2026. The 100,000-square-metre water park in Kathu district is hosting a three-day "Day Songkran Festival" that combines traditional water-splashing fun with EDM music, wave pools, and high-speed waterslides.
Early-bird tickets are already on sale through the Andamanda website, and the event is expected to sell out. For discount flights to Phuket during the holiday, book well in advance.
What to Expect
The Day Songkran Festival is built around Andamanda's centrepiece: a 10-rai wave pool capable of generating waves up to three metres high β the only pool of its kind in Thailand. During the event, international DJs will perform poolside while guests ride the park's 36 waterslides or wade through the wave pool surrounded by thousands of other revellers.
The atmosphere leans more towards a Bali beach club than a traditional Thai temple ceremony. If you are looking for the cultural side of Songkran, head to Phuket Old Town where locals still perform the traditional rod nam dam hua blessing for elders. But if you want Songkran at maximum volume with water cannons and bass drops, Andamanda is the ticket.
Practical Details
Dates: April 13, 14, and 15, 2026
Location: Andamanda Phuket, Kathu district. The park is about 20 minutes from Patong Beach and 35 minutes from Phuket Old Town by car.
Tickets: Early-bird pricing is available on andamandaphuket.com. Standard admission includes full access to the water park and the Songkran stage area. Tickets in previous years sold out before the event, so booking ahead is recommended. Check our Phuket travel guide for hotel recommendations during the festival period.
Food and drink: The park has multiple food hubs including The Village, a boat-market-style dining area with Thai street food, and Tropical Beach, which serves grilled seafood. Expect additional pop-up bars and food stalls during the festival. The Rava Beach Club on Bang Tao is another great Phuket nightlife option if you want to extend the party beyond the festival dates.
Who Is This For?
The Andamanda Songkran party works best for travellers aged 18 to 40 who want a high-energy, Instagram-ready Songkran experience without the chaos of Bangla Road. Families with older children will also enjoy the water park rides, though the music stages will be loud. Anyone who prefers a quieter Songkran should consider Chiang Mai or the temple celebrations in central Bangkok instead.
If you are in Phuket during Songkran week, this is one of the most unique ways to ring in the Thai New Year. Explore the best hotels in Phuket to find where to stay nearby, or check out the Old Town Phuket walking guide for the cultural counterpart to your festival day.
