Event status (updated 1 August 2026): This concert took place on 10 May 2026. ThaiTicketMajor still provides the official historical listing; the prices and entry details below do not apply to any future Kraftwerk show.
Electronic Music Legends Come to Bangkok
Kraftwerk, the German group widely credited with shaping electronic music as we know it, will perform in Bangkok on Sunday, May 10, 2026. It is the first time the band has ever played in Thailand, and one of only two Southeast Asian stops on their current Multimedia World Tour.
The show takes place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in the Khlong Toei district of Bangkok — easily reachable via the MRT (Queen Sirikit National Convention Center station). QSNCC is the same venue that hosts the annual Thailand Travel Fair and other major Bangkok events.
What Is the Multimedia Tour?
Kraftwerk's live shows are not standard concerts. The group performs behind matching consoles while a full-venue 3D visual system projects animations, geometric patterns, and archival footage in sync with the music. Sound, light, and video operate as a single precisely engineered system, turning the audience space into an immersive audiovisual environment.
The setlist typically draws from more than four decades of material, including tracks from Autobahn, The Man-Machine, Computer World, and Tour de France.
Tickets and Prices
Tickets are available through Thai Ticket Major. Three pricing tiers have been announced. For a separately researched later event, see the BTS Bangkok December 2026 concert guide with its dated official status and Rajamangala travel plan.
- Standard: 3,300 baht
- Premium: 3,800 baht
- VIP: 5,500 baht
Tickets went on sale in November 2025 and have been selling steadily, so check availability early if you plan to attend.
Why It Matters for Bangkok
Bangkok's live music scene has grown rapidly over the past few years, with major international acts increasingly adding the city to their Asian tour routes. Kraftwerk's debut here follows a trend that has already seen K-pop groups, EDM headliners, and legacy rock bands choosing QSNCC and other Bangkok venues over more traditional stops like Tokyo or Singapore. Bangkok was even named best city in Asia for 2026 by DestinAsian.
For travellers visiting Thailand in May 2026, the concert offers a strong reason to spend an extra night in Bangkok before heading to the islands or the north. May is also when the Royal Ploughing Ceremony takes place — another unique Bangkok event worth combining with your trip.
Practical Tips
- Get there early. QSNCC doors typically open 60 to 90 minutes before showtime.
- Use the MRT. The venue sits directly above Queen Sirikit MRT station on the Blue Line — no taxi needed. Our Bangkok public transport guide covers MRT, BTS, and boat routes in detail.
- Combine with dinner. The nearby Benjakitti Park area and Sukhumvit Soi 16 have plenty of restaurant options for a pre-show meal. For broader dining inspiration, check the Bangkok top tables 2026 guide.
- Stay nearby. Plenty of well-rated hotels sit within easy MRT reach — browse best hotels in Bangkok to compare options for concert night.
- Explore Bangkok nightlife. If you're making a weekend of it, Bangkok's best cocktail bars and best night markets are within reach. Note that Bangkok's new 4 AM closing time law extends the night for late owls in designated entertainment zones.
- Where to stay. Not sure which Bangkok neighborhood to pick? Our Bangkok neighborhood guide breaks down Sukhumvit, Silom, and beyond.
- Head south after. Many concert visitors continue to the islands after Bangkok. The Krabi travel guide is the perfect starting point for planning beaches, rock climbing, and island-hopping in southern Thailand.
This is a rare chance to see one of the most influential groups in music history perform in Thailand for the first time. For a broader sense of what Bangkok has to offer culturally in 2026, don't miss the Bangkok Art Biennale guide running concurrently this year.
