Mahanakhon I-Tilt: Bangkok's 296-Metre Glass Platform That Tilts You Over the Edge
Bangkok's Most Heart-Pounding Viewpoint
King Power Mahanakhon has been one of Bangkok's most recognisable skyscrapers since it opened, but its newest addition raises the stakes โ literally. The Mahanakhon I-Tilt is the world's first and only outdoor tilting glass platform, and it sits 296 metres above the streets of Silom.
Launched in May 2025, the I-Tilt straps you into a harness and tilts your body a full 65 degrees over the edge of the building on a glass platform. Below your feet: nothing but the Bangkok skyline stretching to the horizon. It is not for the faint-hearted, but it is an experience unlike anything else in Southeast Asia.
What to Expect
The I-Tilt experience is located on the 75th floor of Mahanakhon, accessed through the existing SkyWalk observation deck. After a safety briefing and harness fitting, groups are guided onto the outdoor glass platform. The tilt lasts several minutes, giving you time to take in the views โ and catch your breath.
Beyond the I-Tilt itself, the SkyWalk complex offers several other experiences:
- SkyWalk Observation Deck โ an indoor and outdoor glass-floor viewing area on floors 74 and 78, offering 360-degree panoramic views of Bangkok.
- SkyRides โ a virtual reality paragliding experience simulating flight over Thai landscapes.
- SkyVerse โ Thailand's first immersive art zoo, blending digital art with interactive installations. Bangkok has several other immersive art experiences worth combining with a visit here.
Practical Information
- Opening hours: Daily, 10:00โ19:00. Last I-Tilt round at 18:30.
- Availability: The I-Tilt experience runs through 30 September 2026.
- Tickets: Book in advance through platforms like Klook or Tiqets to guarantee a sunset slot, which fills up fast.
- Getting there: BTS Chong Nonsi station. The tower is directly connected to the station via a short walkway. For a full breakdown of getting around the city, see our Bangkok public transport guide.
- Where to stay: The Silom area puts you within easy walking distance. Browse Bangkok hotels to find something near the BTS line.
Is It Worth It?
If you want more than just another rooftop view in Bangkok, the I-Tilt delivers something genuinely unique. The combination of open air, the tilt mechanism, and the sheer height makes it one of the most memorable experiences in the city. Pair it with a visit to the SkyWalk glass floor at sunset and you have one of Bangkok's best half-day outings in 2026.
Planning a longer trip? You can combine a morning here with an afternoon at the Bangkok Art Biennale or an evening exploring Bangkok's best cocktail bars. For a fuller Bangkok itinerary, our ultimate Thailand itinerary has you covered.
If you're visiting with family, also check out the nearby Thainosaur Museum and the Space Time Cube for more unique Bangkok experiences. The Bangkok Spectacular along the Chao Phraya is another option worth considering on the same day.
