Harbor Island: Bangkok's Massive Rooftop Waterpark With Slides, Ziplines and a Lazy River
A Waterpark on Top of a Shopping Mall
Bangkok has never been short on ways to beat the heat, but Harbor Island takes things to a new level β literally. Spanning 10,000 square meters on the rooftop of The Mall Lifestore in Bangkapi, it holds the record for the largest rooftop waterpark in Southeast Asia. The park opened in early 2025 and has quickly become one of the city's most popular family attractions. If you are planning a family trip to Bangkok, see our Thailand with kids guide and best day trips from Bangkok for more ideas.
What Is Inside
Harbor Island is divided into seven themed zones, each designed for different ages and thrill levels. All zones are included in a single ticket β there are no extra charges for tubes, lockers, or towels. It is one of several new attractions opening in Bangkok in 2026, alongside the Thainosaur Museum and the Skyflyers swing ride at Asiatique.
Sky Rider
The headline attraction is Thailand's longest sky track: an 8-meter-high, 100-meter-long aerial glider that sends riders soaring over the entire waterpark. It is part zipline, part roller coaster, and entirely unlike anything you will find at a traditional waterpark.
Super Island
An enormous Aqua Tower features 18 different slides ranging from gentle kid-friendly runs to steep, high-speed drops. A giant tipping bucket dumps water on unsuspecting visitors below every few minutes.
Lazy Island
A 200-meter lazy river winds through interactive water effects and scenic sections. It is the perfect place to float and recover between slides.
Spray Park and Kids Zones
Younger children (ages 2 and up) have dedicated splash areas with shallow pools, mini slides, and water cannons. The park also offers a Happy Care Service for children aged 3 to 10, providing a dedicated caregiver so parents can enjoy the bigger rides.
Tickets and Hours
- Adults (6-hour pass): 670 THB (approximately 18 USD)
- Adults (full day): 990 THB (approximately 27 USD)
- Open daily: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
All zones, lockers, towels, and tubes are included in the ticket price.
How to Get There
Harbor Island sits on the 3rd floor of The Mall Lifestore, Bangkapi. The easiest way to get there is via the MRT Yellow Line to Bang Kapi Station β the mall is directly connected. From central Bangkok, the journey takes about 30 minutes by train. Our Bangkok public transport guide covers all BTS, MRT, and monorail lines in detail, including the Yellow and Pink Line monorail routes.
Is It Worth a Visit?
If you are traveling with kids, Harbor Island is a strong half-day or full-day option that does not require leaving Bangkok. Even without children, the Sky Rider zipline and the bigger slides offer genuine thrills. And when you are done, you are already inside a full shopping mall with restaurants and air-conditioned retail therapy waiting downstairs β similar to the shopping experience at One Bangkok, Bangkok's newest mega-development.
