At the night market on Khunlum Praphat Road, I met a Lisu woman selling hand-embroidered bags and she invited me to visit her village the next day. We shared a meal of jungle curry and bamboo shoot soup, and she told me about the Lisu New Year festival in February, when the entire village dances for three days. These are the moments that make Mae Hong Son unforgettable - not monuments or museums, but human connections forged in one of the most beautiful corners of the world.
